Procurement represents an important field of activity within the climate alliance. Within the project practicable and easy to implement measures of climate and environmentally friendly procurement have been identified within a series of workshops in cooperation with 6 municipalities of the province of Lower Austria. The project addressed small municipalities with two thousand to five thousand inhabitants, because within small municipalities a major part of procurement is executed by direct or restricted procurement procedures. Thus more easy to use advice is needed compared to comprehensive calls for tenders. The results have been summarised in a way that they can be used by other municipalities and also by private consumers.
