Weyer, Johannes | Germany

Dr. Johannes Weyer, born  in 1956, worked and studied in Marburg from 1984 to 1999 at Bielefeld University, initially as a research assistant, later as a university lecturer and as a Heisenberg scholarship holder of the German Research Foundation. Since then, the focus of teaching and research has been on the sociology of technology and general sociology. The habilitation took place in 1991 with the thesis "Actor strategies and structural dynamics. Space travel in West Germany 1945 - 1965". 1994/95) Johannes Weyer headed the "eLog Center. Consulting Center for Logistics and Traffic" at FTK Dortmund from 2000 to 2002. He has been a professor of sociology of technology at the University of Dortmund since 2002.
